Our bot.
Bifrost Sports runs hockey leagues, teams and rinks. To show players their games, scores and stats, our servers read public schedules and results. Every request we send says it comes from us and links to this page.
What each name means
Bifrost-Scraperreads public schedules, scores, standings and rosters that leagues and rinks publish.Bifrost-Geocoderlooks up a rink's address once, so we can show it on a map.Bifrost-LinkPreviewfetches a link someone pasted into the app, to show its title and image.Bifrost-Cardsfetches a team or rink logo someone added in the app.Bifrost-Indexingtells search engines when a page on bifrostsports.com changes, so they can read it again.
Bifrost-LinkPreview and Bifrost-Cards only fetch links and images people add themselves, and Bifrost-Indexing only talks about our own site. None of them collects league data.
What we read
We read public pages and the same data a visitor's browser gets. When a data owner issues us a key, we use it. We never sign in with anyone's account or password.
How often we ask
Most leagues are read once or twice a day. While a game is being played at a rink that publishes live scores, we check that game every few seconds, one request at a time per site. Every request names us.
How to make us stop
Email us and we'll stop the same day. If you block us, we won't try to get around it.
