Bifrost Sports ("Bifrost," "we," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data when you use our iOS/macOS applications and web services.

Information from Third Parties
- Sign in with Apple: Apple ID, name, and relay email (if chosen)
- Google/Facebook login: Name, email, profile photo
- Facility scoring systems: Game scores, rosters, and statistics as recorded by facility scorekeepers. This data is sourced from facility-operated systems with the understanding that facilities own their league data
- Payment processor: Payment processing data (we do not store credit card numbers)
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and improve the Bifrost service
- Display your player profile, stats, and achievements
- Send push notifications you've opted into (game alerts, RSVP requests, team announcements)
- Process team fee payments through our payment processor
- Link player profiles across facilities for a unified experience
- Generate on-device AI features (game recaps, smart replies) — processed locally on your device, never sent to our servers
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:
- Within your team/league: Profile info, stats, and attendance are visible to your teammates, captains, and facility admins
- Payment processor: Payment data for processing team fees (we use Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers)
- Push notification services: Device identifiers for delivering notifications
- Cloud storage: Profile photos and team logos
- Error monitoring: Anonymous crash reports to improve app stability
- Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect rights and safety
5. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active
- Chat messages: 30 days (free teams) or 90 days (premium teams), then archived and eventually deleted
- Game statistics: Retained indefinitely for league integrity (anonymized if you delete your account)
- Push notification tokens: Deleted on sign-out or account deletion
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and edit: View and update your profile information in the app settings
- Notification control: Granular toggles for game finals, reminders, attendance, team updates, and chat in notification settings
- Profile privacy: Toggle your player profile between public and private
- Account deletion: Delete your account from Settings > General. This anonymizes your personal data while preserving game statistics
- Data export: Contact us to request a copy of your data
7. Security
- Authentication tokens stored securely in the device keychain
- Passwords are salted and hashed using industry-standard algorithms
- All communication encrypted via HTTPS
- Rate limiting and abuse prevention on all endpoints
- Optional biometric lock (Face ID / Touch ID)
8. Children's Privacy
Bifrost does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Parent accounts can manage dependent minors' profiles. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information without consent, contact us and we will delete it.
9. On-Device AI Features
Bifrost offers optional AI-powered features (game recaps, scouting reports, smart chat replies). All AI processing happens locally on your device. No game data, messages, or personal information is sent to external AI services. These features can be individually disabled in Settings.
10. Third-Party Game Data
Game scores, rosters, and statistics are sourced from facility scoring systems and displayed to provide a unified hockey experience. This data includes player names, jersey numbers, positions, and game statistics as recorded by facility scorekeepers. It is displayed as-is and may not reflect official league records.
We source this data with the understanding that the facilities themselves own their league data, as stated by their scoring system providers. We work with facilities to ensure appropriate use of their data.
Player Rights Regarding Third-Party Data
- Profile claiming: If your stats appear from a facility scoring system, you can claim your profile in the app to take ownership of your personal information and stats
- Data removal: If you do not have a Bifrost account and wish to have your information removed, contact us at support@bifrostsports.com with your name and facility. We will anonymize your data within 30 days
- Corrections: If any third-party data about you is inaccurate, contact us or your facility scorekeeper to request a correction
11. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to know: You may request what personal information we have collected about you
- Right to delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., we may retain anonymized game statistics for league integrity)
- Right to opt-out of sale: We do not sell personal information
- Non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights

12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or email. Continued use of Bifrost after changes constitutes acceptance.
