Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bifrost Sports ("Bifrost," "we," "our," or "us"), including our iOS/macOS applications and web services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Bifrost.

2. Description of Service

Bifrost is an ice hockey facility management platform that provides game tracking, stats, team communication, attendance management, and related features for ice hockey facilities, leagues, teams, and players.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. Users under 18 must have a parent or guardian's consent. Parent accounts can manage dependent minors.

4. Account Registration

You may create an account using Sign in with Apple, email/password, or supported social login providers. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

You retain ownership of content you submit (profile information, chat messages, photos). By submitting content, you grant Bifrost a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the service.

6. Game Data & Statistics

Game statistics, scores, and player data displayed in Bifrost are sourced from facility scoring systems and user-submitted scorekeeping. We source facility data with the understanding that the facilities themselves own their league data. While we strive for accuracy, Bifrost does not guarantee the correctness of any statistical data. Official league records are maintained by the respective facilities and governing bodies.

If you are a player whose data appears in Bifrost from a facility scoring system and you do not have a Bifrost account, you may request removal of your personal information by contacting support@bifrostsports.com. We will anonymize your data within 30 days while preserving aggregate game statistics.

7. Payments

Team fee payments are processed through a third-party payment processor. Bifrost charges a platform fee (currently 2%) on player payments, added on top of the team fee amount. Payment processing fees also apply. We do not store credit card numbers. Refund policies are set by individual team captains and facility administrators.

Your use of Bifrost is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

10. Intellectual Property & Data Sources

Bifrost and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Bifrost Sports and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Game statistics and league data displayed in the service are sourced from third-party facility scoring systems and are the property of the respective facilities and leagues.

If you believe that content on Bifrost infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at support@bifrostsports.com with a description of the work you believe is infringed, the location of the infringing content, and your contact information. We will respond within 30 days.

11. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Account deletion anonymizes your personal data while preserving game statistics for league integrity. Device tokens, notification preferences, and organization memberships are permanently removed.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

Bifrost is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will be accurate or complete.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bifrost and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bifrost Sports and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

16. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action arising from these terms shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California.

17. Dispute Resolution

Before filing any formal legal action, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at support@bifrostsports.com. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days. If the dispute is not resolved informally, either party may proceed with legal action as permitted under Section 16.

18. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Bifrost after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes through the app or email.
